Jaime Hine has announced his candidacy for Wallingford Probate Judge. He practices probate law and civil litigation at the firm of Mulvey, Oliver, Gould & Crotta, in Hamden, Connecticut, where he is currently a partner. According to Hine, "I have almost 20 years of experience in probate law and civil litigation, two specialties that are essential to being an effective Probate Judge. In their most difficult times, children and families must know that the Judge presiding over their case has the experience, knowledge and temperament to decide their case in a respectful and appropriate manner.”
Hine explained that he has handled hundreds of estates throughout his 20 years of practice. In the past five years, he has handled over $20 million dollars in estates and has tried over 10 civil litigation cases to verdict. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Hine stated: “I am honored to have worked at a law firm that has produced four judges since its inception, including the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court; and it has prepared me well for this opportunity to serve."
Hine currently serves on the Wallingford Public Library Board of Managers and the Wallingford Planning & Zoning Commission. He lives in Wallingford with his wife, Myklyn Mahoney, and his eleven-year-old son, Jaime.
